How we compared

What: pricing models, what you get, ramp-up and voice control, vs an in-house setter and an AI setter.
Sources: agency price guides, agency pricing pages and PayScale, listed below; our product for ManySetter.
Date: October 9, 2026.
Limits: most guides come from agencies that sell setting, mostly B2B outbound. We build ManySetter, so we’re not neutral.

Chapter 02Pricing

How setting agencies charge

Appointment setting agencies price in four ways. Most quote case by case, so these are ranges, not price tags.

  • Retainer

A fixed monthly fee for a team, whatever it books.

  • Per appointment

A fee for each booked meeting. Check what counts as one.

  • Hybrid

A smaller monthly base, plus a fee per booked meeting.

  • Commission

A share of each sale you close. We found no published range.

Your monthly cost: retainer + booked meetings × fee + setup spread over the contract. Compare it per held call, not per booked one.

Chapter 03Ramp-up

What you get, and how fast

The agencies we checked sell a managed outbound team. Their pricing pages list the same core:

  • Trained setters

Callers or SDRs who work your list by phone, email or LinkedIn.

  • A strategist

Someone who plans the campaigns and the targeting.

  • Lists and data

Prospect lists built and checked for you.

  • Calls and CRM

Calls recorded, meetings synced to your CRM.

An AI setter starts from your offer instead. Your playbook is ready in about two minutes, and you can test it free before any lead sees it.

Chapter 04Control

Who controls your voice

With an agency, someone else’s setters speak for your brand. Settle these four points before you sign:

0 of 4 completed

With an AI setter, you set it yourself: your offer, your words, your fit rule. Fix any reply in one sentence.

Chapter 06Honest check

When an agency fits better

An agency fits better if…

You sell by cold outbound. Your buyers never message you first.
You need phone calls. Agencies dial; ManySetter never calls.
You need lists. Agencies build and check the contacts.
You want a managed team. A strategist runs it, and the budget is there.

Then an agency is the better buy. An AI setter fits when leads already message you and go cold before the call.

Chapter 07Test

Test before you sign

Don’t compare price tags. Run each option on the same lead source, over the same weeks.

  1. Define a good call

Write what makes a lead fit. Count only held calls with fit leads.

  2. Pick one lead source

One offer, one channel, the same dates for each option.

  3. Time the first reply

Note how long each lead waited for an answer.

  4. Read 20 conversations

Check the tone, the fit questions and how objections were handled.

  5. Divide the cost

Total cost for the period, divided by held calls with fit leads.

Keep the option with the lowest cost per held call that still sounds like you.
